Managing Partner
Kwang Hun Choi is the managing partner of FirstLaw. He has extensive experience in counseling both domestic and foreign clients particularly in dispute resolution, prosecution, and evaluation of patents in the chemical, electrical materials, and polymer fields.
Mr. Choi draws upon his experience working as an engineer and researcher at SK Innovation, as well as his studies in earning MIP and JD degrees at Franklin Pierce Law Center, to counsel both domestic and foreign clients, including clients in the United States, Europe, and China. He provides clients with a customized prosecution service that extends to protecting and enforcing the client’s patent rights in trials and litigations in front of the Board of Trials.
As a reflection of his expertise, Mr. Choi was a co-author for U.S. Patent Case Study I, II and III, and is a frequent lecturer on patent law at various universities. He is currently serving as a member of the IPR Dispute Resolution Committee and a member of the Administrative Law Committee for Chungbuk Province and also provides opinions on corporate management and policy as an outside director for a company listed on the Korea Composite Stock Price Index.
