Jeong Won Lee is the internationally recognized leader of the firm’s Trademark/Design Group. She has been consistently rated as one of the top women in IP throughout the world.

Ms. Lee focuses her practice on prosecution and IP strategizing for both domestic and international clients, and the quality of her leadership is reflected in the evaluation of the Group in such publications as Managing Intellectual Property and World Trademark Review 1000. Having worked as an English/Korean interpreter for two years prior to becoming a patent attorney, Ms. Lee’s unique background allows her to communicate with clients, associates, IP associations, and international patent offices in a way no other Korean trademark attorney can.

In addition to her extensive experience, Ms. Lee also earned her LL.M. degree in Intellectual Property from the University of Washington, School of Law and is fluent in Japanese. Her combination of communication skills, trademark expertise, and legal knowledge has made her a coveted voice in the international IP field, as Ms. Lee was a member of the Famous and Well-known Trademark Committee of the International Trademark Association (INTA), and previously served as a council member of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA) and Co-Chairperson of APAA’s Trademark Committee. Domestically, she is a panel member for the Domain Name Dispute Resolution Committee, Director of the Korea Trademark & Design Association (KOTA), and provided counsel on trademark law reform to the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) as an expert committee member of the Trademark Law Forum.
