Jiyeong Yi is a partner and co-leader of the domestic division of the firm’s Trademark/Division Group. Her practice focuses on prosecuting trademarks, design, and copyright, as well as dispute resolution and valuation. Ms. Yi has long represented multinational and domestic corporations, as well as SMEs and individuals, for their trademark and design matters. She received her master’s in IP degree from University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law, and was the first trademark attorney in Korea to be selected as an examiner for the KIPO. Her experience examining international trademarks, and knowledge accumulated from her studies and experience representing clients of all shapes and sizes, makes her perfectly suited to provide, and execute, the most optimal IP strategies. In addition to her work, Ms. Yi often lectures on the Madrid System and the Hague System at international conferences and legal education forums. She currently serves as co-chair of the Trademark Committee of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association and is a committee member of the Intellectual Property Rights Dispute Resolution Committee.
